Crossfader Has Moved to Typepad; Click Here

I have decided to migrate my blogging activities over to typepad, where I hope to blog a bit more regularly.

Oh, Now I Get It.

It seems the reason the Bush administration has been so gung ho about having us all set up private social security accounts is because, uh well, they don't fucking trust themselves to keep track of a lousy $100M, let alone our hard earned scrilla. All I can say is thanks for the heads up George.

Blogger's Block

No rhyme or reason to these photos other than I bought a new Nikon D70 the other day and have found yet another excuse to blog even less. I think I'm suffering from some kind of blogging writer's block. Beats the fuck out of me but for some reason I just can't seem to muster anything on this site of any substance. Until then, please ponder the drain on my kitchen sink above.

Just a B-Boy on the Block With It

Straight Outta London

Checked out the Dizzee Rascal show at Irving Plaza last night. Mr. Rascal is b-boy from London's Council Estates (we call 'em the PJ's). While he has the requisite quick flow of say a Twista and the hard-scrabble backstory of any of the legion of hip hop practioners, his popularity has not quite extended beyond the hipsters who made up the bulk of the audience. Which is unfortunate cause the dude has a flow.

Colin Powell Finds His Balls

It appears that Colin Powell has located his balls from wherever it was that he left them. Mr. Former Secretary of State, according to WaPo has been leading the charge to get Wilford Brimley enthusiast John Bolton from bringing his perverse sort of kink to the shores of Turtle Bay.

The Flathead

NY Press has a pretty hilarious piece on Thomas Friedman. I always knew the man was a few fries short of a happy meal but they really tore into him.

The Natural Order Restored

The Crossfader fader has been rocking Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" on his Ipod like a sixth grade girl amped on Now and Laters. Damn, I forgot how good the woman can sing.

Lemme Get This Straight

Washington D.C. has to foot the bill for a baseball stadium so a bunch of suburbanites can watch a game? It they wanted a team so much, let them pay for it. As it is now, a city already strapped for cash has to pony up for a suburban fantasy. Funny how the people forced to pay for the stadium don't look like the people in the stadium.

Rapper as John the Baptist

It's official. The Crossfader officially jumps on the bandwagon. The new Common album is the mofo shiznit. Full stop. When it drops buy one for yourself, your girl, your moms and pops, even your baby's mama (yes I went there). It's that tight. Eff that, it's tighter than that playa.
